Watch the 3-minute clip here to watch what I said at this school board meeting.
“Don’t tell your parents!” My local school district, in California, appeared to sneak a book under the radar by Jodi Patterson titled, A Boy Named Penelope.
The book promotes mental and emotional child abuse by declaring that girls can become boys. The character in the book is only five years old. Unbelievable!
This book was read in classrooms at Greg Anderson school without parental consent. Yes, you heard me right.
Right, Not Woke
Let me state up front that I appreciate our school boards. It’s a tough job, and many of them truly want what’s best for kids. However, when it comes to truly helping kids we need to point them in the right direction, not the woke direction. The LAST thing I wanted to do was attend a 3-hour board meeting and write this article, but this type of behavior must be called out.
My heart breaks for what we are doing to our children: Instead of pointing them to hope and encouraging them during their struggle, we bow to the altar of depravity and we capitulate.
Members of school districts: Cowardliness is contagious but so is courage. Step up to the plate and take a stand: When we become so tolerant that we lead people in the wrong direction, we are not acting like leaders—we are acting like cowards.
We are so worried about offending others, but have we stopped to consider that we may be offending God?
Silencing the Messenger with Lies
Advocates of the lie of “separation of church and state” have held people in bondage for far too long (unless it works to their advantage of course). How much longer will we allow their godless agenda to remove God from America?
The public school system was started to teach children the Word of God. His Word must be allowed in all areas, from police precincts to government offices and from our schools to our inner cities. This is not popular, but it is powerful. It’s not politically correct but it is biblically correct. Truth invites scrutiny; whereas, error runs from it (cf. 1 John 5:13). Jesus leads us back to truth, not further away from it.
We can accept people without accepting sin. We are not homophobes who are afraid of homosexuality; we are messengers of love and truth: “The truth will set you free” (John 8:31). School districts, parents, and teachers try to intimidate and silence the truth with lies and false accusations. Those who promote a godless agenda may win the battle, but they cannot win the war. God has the final say.
The Eggshells of Political Correctness
People need to hear the truth of forgiveness, reconciliation, and hope. Let me be clear: God is our only hope! We need to stop walking on the eggshells of political correctness.
What is legal is not always lawful. Governing bodies sit underneath God’s Word. They are not equal to it, nor are they above it. For example, murdering children in the womb, although legal, is unlawful in God’s sight.
In the same way, although the State allows a curriculum that grooms and perverts sexuality, it doesn’t make it right. Your job is to make this distinction and govern accordingly.
To the LGBTQ+ Community
To the LGBTQ+, we love you. We love all people that make up this wonderful nation that God has given us, but we must speak the truth in love. John 10:10 says that Jesus came to give us life, freedom, and a relationship with God. He is our only hope, the only source of true peace. Surgery, medication, and affirmation will never set a person free, but He will.
Are you experiencing peace? If not, that can change. You must trust in Him as Lord and Savior; repent and turn to Him: “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).
If you’re a believer but find yourself trapped in sin, misery, and depression, you can also have hope. God continually calls His people back to Himself. If you return with all of your heart (repent), He will return to you. That’s a gift of the greatest value—a promise that will never fail.
I encourage parents and all concerned to continue to speak up and fight for our children and our future. Times change, truth does not.
